About Me

My name is Peter Larcheveque and I am an aspiring data scientist from Southern California looking to merge my newfound interest in data science with my long-term interest in business. Over the past three years, I worked at Intel Corporation and Verisk Analytics, where I developed technical expertise in the areas of machine learning, natural language processing, and geospatial analysis, while also honing my leadership and communication skills. In addition, during my tenure at UC San Diego, I was deeply involved in Data Science Student Society and Delta Sigma Pi. Through my work in these organizations, I have developed a passion for giving back to students and communities, and am adamant about helping others develop professionally and personally.

From small, solo projects to creative collaborations, I’m always looking for the chance to explore new venues and learn something new that I can apply to my work. Explore my portfolio, and feel free to get in touch with any questions!

Soccer

If life is a novel, then chapter 1 would be birth and chapter 2 would be soccer. I’ve played soccer non-stop since I was 6 years old, and have played competitively for most of my life. Nowadays, I play once a week with elderly Iranian men in San Dimas!

Soccer accolades:

  • Frosh Men’s Soccer Captain

  • Varsity Men’s Soccer Captain

  • Defensive MVP of the League (1x)

  • Athlete of the Month

Interests

Chess

I’ve been playing chess since I was 13 years old and have loved it ever since! My favorite thing about chess is that it is 100% skill-based with no luck involved. I am actively looking to start a YouTube series in which I commentate over my games as I attempt to reach 2000 ELO!

Bullet (1 min.): 1811

Blitz (3 min.): 1683

Rapid (10 min.): 1715
